Drew Scoggins
Managing Partner & Chief Executive Officer
Drew is Founder & Managing Partner of Millennial Energy Partners. Under his leadership, the firm has built a portfolio of operated, non-operated and financial assets in the energy sector. Prior to founding Millennial in 2012, Drew led BG Group plc’s commercial and operations teams on upstream, midstream and LNG investments in the United States, Canada, Chile, Equatorial Guinea and Trinidad and Tobago from 2008 to 2012. Prior to joining BG, Drew was Strategic Planning Manager and Community and Public Relations Manager with Marathon Oil from 2005 – 2008. Drew began his energy career with Bechtel Corporation as Project Controls Engineer residing in Equatorial Guinea, West Africa. In each of these capacities in West Africa Drew led local capacity building teams and initiatives and managed social investment projects. Drew currently serves as a member of the York Tactical Energy Fund (“YTEF”) Investment Committee and the Board of Directors of NextDecade Corporation (NASDAQ: NEXT). Drew previously served as Director on the Board of Amplify Energy Corp., where he was Chairman of the Audit Committee, until its merger with Midstates Petroleum Company, Inc. in August 2019, and on the Board of Directors of Ultra Petroleum. Drew is a member of Vanderbilt University’s College of Arts & Sciences Campaign Cabinet and is chairman of the finance committee of the Georgetown University Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) Advisory Board. Drew serves on the boards of reVision Houston and TrueWorks. He and his wife Kelly are the co-owners of Bitty & Beau’s Coffee Houston.
Drew received his B.S. in economics and history from Vanderbilt, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude. He earned his MSFS degree from Georgetown with a focus on international relations, business and economics.

John Horstman
Partner
John Horstman is a Partner of Millennial Energy Partners. John is a member of the investment team focused on origination, valuation, negotiation and portfolio management across the firm’s investment strategies. Prior to joining Millennial, John was a Director at Benefit Street Partners where he led the alternative capital energy investment team. While at Benefit Street Partners he invested over $1 billion in more than ten transactions across the capital structure of its clients. John has also worked for NGP Capital Resources and began his career in the Energy & Power Investment Banking group at Wachovia Securities. John received his B.A. in Mathematical Economic Analysis and Policy Studies from Rice University.

Timothy Herrman
Controller
Tim is Controller at Millennial Energy Partners, where he is responsible for all accounting and treasury functions. Tim joined Millennial Energy Partners in June 2016 as the Company’s Controller. He brought with him over 30 years of oil and gas E&P experience with both operated and non-operated properties located in the U.S., Gulf of Mexico and abroad. Prior to joining the Company, Tim was Vice President and Controller for Black Falcon Energy, LLC, where he was responsible for establishing and overseeing the accounting functions for 8,200 non-operated oil and gas properties. He has served in similar capacities for other organizations, including Tradition Resources II, LLC, PetroSantander, Inc. and Centurion Exploration Company. Throughout his career, Tim has participated in the acquisition and divestiture of over 3,500 oil and gas properties. Tim received his accounting degree from The University of Texas at Dallas.
