Drew Scoggins

Managing Partner

Drew is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Millennial Energy Partners and the firm’s various managed funds, operating subsidiaries and investment vehicles. Under his guidance, the firm has secured private equity capital in excess of $300 million and directly invested in oil and gas assets through seven discreet investment vehicles. Prior to Millennial, Drew led BG Group plc’s commercial and technical teams on oil and gas investments valued at $3.3 billion, which included upstream and midstream acquisitions and joint ventures in the Haynesville shale, Marcellus shale and British Columbia. Furthermore, Drew led deal teams on liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects in Chile, British Columbia and Equatorial Guinea. Drew also served in operational roles with BG Trinidad and Tobago. Prior to joining BG, Drew was Strategic Planning Manager and Community and Public Relations Manager with Marathon Oil. Drew began his career with Bechtel Corporation as Project Controls Engineer in Equatorial Guinea, West Africa. He received his B.S. in Economics and History from Vanderbilt University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude. He earned his M.S. in Foreign Service with a concentration in Business and Finance from Georgetown University.

Phillip Gayle

Managing Partner

Phillip is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Millennial Energy Partners and the firm’s various managed funds, operating subsidiaries and investment vehicles. Throughout his career, Phillip has acquired thousands of acres of leasehold and mineral rights and forged joint ventures with small independent oil companies and major publicly traded energy corporations. During his tenure at Millennial, Phillip has secured private equity investments in excess of $300 million leading to direct participation in the drilling and completion of over 100 wells across most major unconventional plays in the US Lower 48. Prior to Millennial, Phillip served as VP of Business Development for Central Crude, Inc. where he managed commercial contract negotiations governing the company’s oil and gas exploration and production operations throughout Louisiana and Texas, both onshore and offshore. Prior to that, he worked as an independent petroleum landman for El Paso Exploration & Production, Chesapeake Energy and several other small independent oil and gas companies during the early land rush days of the Barnett, Fayetteville and Haynesville Shale plays as well as Alabama’s Black Warrior Basin coalbed methane play. Phillip earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management and Entrepreneurship from Louisiana State University’s E.J. Ourso College of Business.

William Goodwin

Vice President – Exploration & Development

Before joining Millennial Energy Partners, William served as the Managing Member of two Houston-based, privately-backed E&P funds. Under his guidance, these funds participated in a diversified portfolio of conventional exploration and resource development programs in the Gulf Coast and East Texas Basins. Previously, William worked for Nexen Petroleum in Dallas, TX where he developed conventional Gulf of Mexico shelf and deepwater assets. William also worked with Nexen through its merger with CNOOC. Prior industry experience includes working onshore and offshore fields with Anglo-Dutch Energy, Cobalt International Energy and Houston Energy L.P. William earned a B.S in Geology from Louisiana State University and has competed all coursework towards an M.S in Geology at Southern Methodist University. William sits on the Petroleum Club of Houston Membership Committee. He is a member of the LSU Science Dean’s Circle and is a former letterman and pitcher on the LSU baseball team.

David Loveday

Vice President – Geosciences

David joined Millennial Energy Partners after a decade of leading subsurface technical teams focused on finding and producing oil and gas in basins across the world. He began his career as a development geologist in the Gulf of Mexico with Chevron, based in Houston and New Orleans, before assuming other technical and leadership positions in Gulf of Mexio onshore and offshore exploration, as well as with Chevron Angola. Most recently, he led exploration efforts along the Brazilian Equatorial Margin region for Pacific Rubiales USA. David received his B.S in Geology from the Ohio State University and his M.S. in Geophysics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Cash Cameron

Chief Financial Officer

Cash is Chief Financial Officer of Millennial Energy Partners. Prior to joining Millennial, Cash was Director of Finance at American Energy Partners, LP (AELP), an $11 billion multi-strategy oil and gas asset management platform. While at AELP, he focused on identifying, evaluating and executing upstream acquisition opportunities within major U.S. onshore resource plays and was the lead finance professional responsible for launching and managing AELP’s $500 million non-operated strategy focused on the STACK and SCOOP plays in the Anadarko Basin. Prior to AELP, Cash was an associate with LKCM Headwater Investments, a $600 million lower-middle market private equity firm, where he focused on E&P, oilfield service and maritime investments. Prior to this, he was an investment banker with Raymond James & Associates in the energy group and began his career with Luther King Capital Management, a ~$13 billion investment management firm. Cash earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas Christian University and played fullback for the TCU Horned Frogs.

Timothy Herrman

Controller

Tim joined Millennial Energy Partners in June 2016 as the Company’s Controller. He brought with him over 30 years of oil and gas E&P experience with both operated and non-operated properties located in the U.S., Gulf of Mexico and abroad. Prior to joining the Company, Tim was Vice President and Controller for Black Falcon Energy, LLC where he was responsible for establishing and overseeing the accounting functions for 8,200 non-operated oil and gas properties. He has served in similar capacities for other organizations, including Tradition Resources II, LLC, PetroSantander, Inc. and Centurion Exploration Company. Throughout his career, Tim has participated in the acquisition and divestiture of over 3,500 oil and gas properties. Tim received his accounting degree from The University of Texas at Dallas in 1985 and is married with two children and four grandchildren.
